AI tools for regular use
As someone who frequently undertakes deep dives related to work or otherwise, I now rely on 3 Al tools that offer powerful capabilities even in their free models:
1. Perplexity
For quick, high-level insights, Perplexity is excellent. It delivers concise, well-formatted summaries from web sources, eliminating the need to navigate multiple websites. By providing direct links to original sources, it ensures transparency and credibility. Its integration with platforms like #WhatsApp and #Telegram apps allows seamless access to information. I rarely do a conventional Google Search now-a-days!
2. Grok
When deep, unbiased exploration of a topic is required, Grok, developed by xAl, excels. Other tools like ChatGPT probably can do this as well, but I find those tools are biased on leftist views and hence doesn't give a 360-degree view on a topic, especially on "controversial" or "political" topics. It also has an ability to cite original sources enhances trust and enables further verification.
3. Google's NotebookLM
For those working with curated and personal datasets (such as PDFs, webpage URLs, YouTube links, or Google Drive documents), this offers a tailored solution. It enables in-depth analysis within user-provided materials and will not scrape the internet at all. The tool's high-quality output includes source traceability, and features like mind-map generation and podcast creation.
